ENTHUSIASM FOR PERSPECTIVE at ASIS 2006
 



A huge “thank you” goes out to everyone who stopped by our booth to say “hello.” With over 900 exhibits and over 600,000 square feet of exhibit space, there was a lot to see! We appreciate the time you spent with us, learning more about Perspective and its innovative approach to Incident Management.

Things have certainly changed since our first ASIS show in 1989. Back then, Incident Management software was a tough concept for many security professionals to grasp. We were new, different and, aside from a well-known founder (a past member of the ASIS Board of Directors), no one knew anything about us.

Today, Incident Management software is in a league of its own. The number of individuals who remarked that Incident Management software was at the top of their “must see list” at the show was astounding. The show also gave us a solid appreciation for how many organizations depend on their PPM software (be it IRIMS, IXO or Perspective) as an integral part of their day-to-day operations.

Overall, our ASIS team came back from the show more excited than ever. The response to Perspective was incredible. Those who stopped by for “quick look” often stayed for thirty minutes or more, and we even had some individuals stay at our booth for over two hours (keep in mind, this is standing at a computer, not sitting comfortably). Many more returned with two or three colleagues anxious to see it for themselves. We especially enjoyed the interactions between the various individuals gathered around a demo station, as colleagues shared their thoughts and as peers who had never met suddenly struck up conversations about Incident Management… and about Perspective.

So, what captured their attention? Our show demo walked through the Incident Reporting and Investigation Management components of Perspective before taking a closer look at Perspective's analytical and reporting features. We highlighted the Perspective dashboard and its integration with Microsoft Outlook, and we emphasized the simplicity of Perspective's user interface along with the benefits of its smart client technology. The demo closed with a look at Perspective's modules for
e-Reporting, Visual Analysis and Performance Management.
