Securing the Nation Article features Perspective
“Using the latest technology, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario is able to detect patterns in incident activity and predict issues with annual events—even identify associations between known individuals and potential incident involvements. Its Legislative Security Service is responsible for safety and security on the legislative grounds, responding to 2,300 incidents every year from presidential visits to protests and demonstrations.”

IN SUPPORT OF THE ASIS FOUNDATION
Our Sponsorship of the Allan J. Cross Award
Those of you who have been working with PPM 2000 since the 1990's may remember the name Allan J. Cross, CPP. Al was our Vice-President from 1990 to 1996, and he was a true believer in the value of Incident Reporting and Investigation Management software and in the power of statistical reporting.
When Al passed away in the fall of 1996, PPM 2000 wanted to commemorate him and his commitment to the security industry. Knowing how proud he was of his CPP designation, we worked with the ASIS Foundation to establish the Allan J. Cross Award in support of new security professionals and their CPP goals. We congratulate this year's recipients of the award, and we wish you all the best in your security careers.
